Recent lumber price increases have forced us to raise the price of cocobolo and burl shells.
We also build bodhram shells!!! Just leave us a note when you purchase your bodhram shell.
If you are thinking of building a killer sounding snare drum, Rhythm King shells are a great way to go.
Most of the shells are available for about 100.00 and a hardware setup can be purchased for about the same. This gets you into an incredible sounding drum for about 200.00 if you build it yourself.
The bearing edges and snare beds are already cut for you and the sells are sealed with a nice tung oil sealer, so all that is required is a drill and a few hand tools.
Wood grain and figure will vary from shell to shell, pictures below are examples but I always try to buy the best figured wood available.

Rosita hase a beautiful sound much like bubinga but with faster decay. The wood looks like walnut but with a gorgeous orange and pink hue.
