Building tips
bodhran shells are traditionally steam bent ash wood shells. Segment shells are also a great way to start a bodhran drum project. Available in 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18" diameters and depths up to 6" shell walls are available from 5/16" to 1/2" thick and can be built with or without reinforcement rings of the same wood or some other species.
